Usage

secure filename password output_filename

The 3rd argument is optional. If not provided, secure will update the file directly.

Example

secure myfile.docx hello123

Secure will decrypt the file if file is already encrypted so you need not provide different commands for encrypting or decrypting. You can also provide long / complex passwords or file names by quoting.

secure "my passwords.txt" "This is how a password with spaces is given."

Secure works with any file format, text files, music files, video files, docx file, excel file, zip file.

Important!

There is no way to recover the file if you have forgotten the password. Secure does not store or remember the password. And there are no methods for extracting the password from an encrypted file. So, please remember your password carefully!
